The Momentous EZ Assembly™
The team at SPALDING reached out to partner with them on the design and development of several product categories including the Momentous EZ Assembly™ portable hoop. This forward thinking design allows the hoop to be assembled in 30-minutes right out of the box. The design focus was on the front deflection panel, ballast base, and neck cover. Responsibilities included conceptual ideation, 3D CAD, and final presentation design deliverables.
I was included as Inventor on the US Patent: US-D1046032-S

The Renegade® In-Ground Hoop
Partnered with SPALDING to re-imagine their iconic arena hoop and bring it to the consumer’s driveway with the Renegade® In-Ground Hoop. The design focus was on the extension arm enclosure and the padded base cover. With close collaboration with the marketing and engineering teams, my responsibilities included conceptual ideation, 3D CAD modeling, Animations, and final presentation renderings and deliverables for executive approval.
I was included as Inventor on the US Patents: US-D1025255-S, U-D1024236-S

TIKIBrand® Shipped Products
TIKIBrand®contracted my design services to expand their product line past their iconic bamboo torch; exploring other materials, form factor, and into other product categories.
I was a key member that ushered the brand into a whole new line of products that include metal torches, colorful textured glass, LED lighting, fire pits, themed oil lamps, and candles.
Maintaining close communications and collaboration with both the marketing and engineering teams throughout the development. These are a few shipped examples…

TIKIBrand® Island God Head 4-in-1
I was contracted by LampLight to redesign their iconic TIKIBrand® Island God Head into a versatile 4-in-1 oil lamp. This modular design maintains its classic aesthetics and covert from a tabletop, to a high and mid length pole, and a pedestal stand. I was tasked with the conceptual ideation, design development, and final presentation renderings that were shared with project stakeholders.

Burger King Virtual Fun Center
I was tasked by D2Sales (CTS) to provide the conceptual sketches and design renderings of an interactive digital kiosk.
The Burger King Virtual Fun Center kiosk was a pioneer of its time providing children interactive educational touchscreen games and became an instant success. Burger King locations that had these kiosks reported an immediate 14% revenue increase compared to locations that did not. It also was awarded the Kiosk of the Year award for 2003..!

Additional Kiosk Designs
Additional kiosk designs including one contracted by Abbot Laboratories for Chicago’s bid for the 2016 Olympics. Not only did I provide the conceptual designs and presentation renderings, but also the fabrication drawings for the production team. Included is a 55” Microsoft touch display promoting Chicago for the location. Although the 2016 Olympics went to Rio de Janeiro, this was an incredible project to work on.

Discovery World Museum Techno Jungle
For the Discovery World Museum in Milwaukee, I provided the conceptual sketches and final design renderings for the technology and robotics addition for a futuristic forest dubbed the ‘Techno-Jungle’. With two distinct tree designs, each over 20’ tall, and a dozen produced; the forest is adorned with frosted acrylic leaves and foliage. Beautifully lit with color changing RGB LED lighting. In addition, I also provided the fabrication drawings for the production and installation teams.

Monument Sculpture Design
Through the years I have designed many Monument Sculptures, not only providing the conceptual ideation and final presentation design renderings, but also the technical fabrication drawings for the production and installation teams. In addition, presented the design proposals to corporate executives and city officials for approval.
This includes the design of the corporate sculpture for the GE Healthcare headquarters, I also took part in the metal fabrication/welding and installation. The sphere towers over 20’ tall in diameter and is lit with RGB LED lighting.
It was an honor to be selected to design the sculpture for the Veterans War Memorial. Fabricated in bronze with an eternal flame and a 360-degree waterfall feature, I provided the conceptual drawings for this now iconic Milwaukee landmark.
I also conceptualized a 16’ tall abstracted bronze flame for a Kohls shopping center and a 12’ tall abstracted tree for a private residence garden.
For the Kohl Center in Madison, I designed eight matching monoliths with color changing RGB LED lighting and a patina bronze ribbon. Each towering over 16’ tall, they welcome guests, flanking the pathway as they approach the main entrance.

Conceptual Ideation Sketching
Great ideas start with a sketch, when a pencil hits the napkin, a marker on paper, or a stylus on a tablet… ideas are born.
